The department is manned by nine (9) members of teaching staff and 2 laboratory technicians.
Chemistry subject is compulsory at Ordinary level and at least 70% of students admitted at A level offer this subject at Ntare School.
On average, 70% of the candidates at Ordinary level usually obtain distinctions (D1 and D2) in UNEB public exams - Uganda Certificate of Education.
Students doing Chemistry can be admitted on any of the following courses offered at public Universities in Uganda:
- Human Medicine and Surgery
- Veterinary Medicine
- Agriculture courses
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
